Favourite phrase or saying |
“The more you fear something, the more it is going to hurt.” |
Break though experience |
I’ve recently been asked to auction off a private lesson and a signed snowboard, for a charity event and been told that it will be highly popular with the guests. It was really special to be asked to do something like that, we’ll see how much I go for! |
Greatest moment (s) so far, and whats next for you….. |
My greatest competition result was winning two British titles this year. I have to go back and defend them this year. I will also be competing more in European and International Competitions and taking part in as many magazine trips and photo shoots as possible. |
Favourite sports/business personality |
My friend Jenny Jones, is an awesome role model. She is one of the best snowboarders in the World. She is very focused, self-driven, brave and talented. She also knows how to party and have fun, which is equally important! |
Favourite food/film/music/hobby |
My favourite food has to be chicken! I love it and goes with everything, well almost everything. I’m very into movies as I watch a lot when I’m away and travelling so I could not possibly narrow it to just one. I have a broad range, from Disney to Quentin Tarrentino films. It’s the same with music, but when I’m riding I listen to Hip Hop. I’m a qualified Tree Surgeon when I’m home. I love being outdoors and it keeps me fit for the winter. I surf, skate, wakeboard, and play most sports when I can, like football, hockey and tennis, I’m a pretty active person.
But when I want to chill out I like to draw, mainly graffiti style. |
Motivational tips for self and others |
The main thing for me is that I’m having fun and progressing. The minute it stops being fun and I start to get rubbish I will stop.
So have fun, practise a lot, things don’t happen by themselves. A bit of hard work makes it all worthwhile when it all comes together. |
My key Champion Behaviour |
The main thing is to stay on this planet. If your head gets too big you’ll float off somewhere else. You may get very good at what you do, but you can always be better. Don’t get used to people saying you’re good or great, I try to take it as it’s the first time I’ve been told or might be the last time. You also really have to look after yourself. If you want to be an athlete, you need an athletic body. And you aren’t born with one! So eat well, drink well, sleep well and exercise. I absolutely love it when people ask what I do and I can say, “I’m a snowboarder.” The reason I can say this is because of my hard work and practise and also the people that have helped me along the way, my family, sponsors, photographers, magazines and friends. These were all important in where I am today and in the future, so thank you. |
